Aviation-Event, Official Media Partner of the 2026 Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) Annual Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia, has published its first interviews from the partnership. Its coverage included a pre-conference announcement, an on-site appearance and video conversations with Candace McGraw, former Chair of ACI World, and RJ Steenstra, President and CEO of Toronto Port Authority. Toronto Port Authority shared the Steenstra interview through its own channel.

McGraw discussed aviation’s role in connecting people. Steenstra addressed travel and trade across the Canada–U.S. border. Both conversations are available through Aviation-Event’s social channels. The partnership builds on an existing connection: Matt Cornelius, ACI-NA Executive Vice President, joined Aviation-Event 2026 CLJ in March for a keynote interview moderated by Marcel Riwalsky.

ACI-NA’s Philadelphia programme focused on the demands facing airports, including infrastructure and capacity, workforce development, digital change and the passenger experience. ACI-NA also recognised Doug Kreulen with its visionary leadership award, Patty Clark with its Downes Award and five airport environmental initiatives. In its conference announcement, ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke described the event as a place for airport leaders to tackle “the issues that matter most to our members and our industry.”

> “Philadelphia gave us the chance to introduce North American airport perspectives to people who follow our work across continents,” said Marcel Riwalsky, CEO of Aviation-Event. “The conversations with Candace McGraw and RJ Steenstra are a beginning. We want to work with ACI-NA and its members earlier and more closely, so that we can bring more of their ideas and stories to an international audience.”

Aviation-Event combines original conferences in Frankfurt and Cluj-Napoca with reporting from industry gatherings worldwide. With ACI-NA’s next Annual Conference & Exhibition scheduled for 4–7 October 2027 in New Orleans, Aviation-Event is seeking to develop a broader editorial programme with the association.
